Imogen is a Glasgow-based spoken word poet, theatre-maker, vocalist and educator. She was the inaugural Writer-in-Residence for Paisley Book Festival 2021 and can be seen on Sky Arts’ BAFTA-nominated documentary, Life & Rhymes, hosted by Benjamin Zephaniah. Imogen is a highly regarded artist who has performed her work widely throughout the UK and abroad (inc. BBC, Sofar Sounds, Latitude Festival, Neu! Reekie!, Aye! Write). She is best recognised for her five-star debut show #Hypocrisy (sell out runs at Edinburgh Fringe and Prague Fringe; UK tour) and was a participant of the BBC Words First talent development scheme. Her new show, Love The Sinner, blends poetry with an electronic music score and is currently in development. She co-founded Siren Theatre Company, whose debut production, Text Me When You Get Home is being developed in partnership with Tron Theatre, Creative Scotland and Glasgow & Clyde Rape Crisis. Siren is part of The Gaiety Theatre’s New Companies Scotland Programme. Imogen is also a highly experienced spoken word/creative writing workshop leader, focusing on writing, spoken word and mental health.
