Martha Hill

Martha Hill is a Newcastle based singer/songwriter from Scotland. Accompanied by cellist Ceitidh Mac and multi-instrumentalist Sharon, Martha Hill and her band play a beautiful blend of genres, captivating audiences all over the country. With their roots firmly in folk and jazz, there is a definite timelessness and nostalgia to their music, but since branching out into electronic and pop music, they are far from traditional.

Martha Hill released her first single 'Blue Moon' in December of 2016. 'Blue Moon' was launched to a sold out crowd in Newcastle, and was met with great enthusiasm by press and fans alike, with NARC magazine saying “at once exotically jazzy and soulfully sensual – it’s a chilled out track which carries the listener on a wave of atmospheric nostalgia”.
