It's beginning to look a lot like Glastonbury!

Ok, we’re not Glastonbury and we never will be. And we’ve certainly got some hugely distinct differences, such as our lack of miniature humans*. In fact, make that humans in general (given our significantly smaller capacity and the fact that we could fit our Beal Farm site into the Glasto perimeter about 100 times over).

But with the gates of the Glasto now open once again, I thought I'd take the opportunity to highlight a few of our commonalities with the mother of all UK festivals. After all, Glasto did light the spark that ignited a fire fuelled with inspiration, which led Lindisfarne Festival to where it is today...

Throwback to where it all began...

Oh how time flies when you're having fun! It's exactly 19 weeks until we head back to Beal Farm to kick off the party at our third Lindisfarne Festival (and undoubtably our BEST festival yet).

As the 2017 event draws closer and closer, it's got us reminiscing! And as it's 'Throwback Thursday' we thought we'd re-share this blog from our 2015 website, which tells the tale of how our festival journey first began...

The 'Glastonbury' of Northumberland

Yesterday brought about some disappointing news for many festival goers of the North, who had been dazzled and excited by the prospect of a Glastonbury sized festival right here in Northumberland. Festival on the Wall (marketed as the 'Glastonbury of Northumberland') is unfortunately the latest of many festivals that has fallen before the finish line and believe us when we say - we feel their pain!
