We've had hundreds of entries and thousands of votes but there can only be one winner. The people have spoken and with a whopping 47% of the public vote, the winner of our unsigned band competition is (drum roll....) THE WINACHI TRIBE!
Thank you to everyone who voted and supported our five fantastic finalists and helped spread the word about the Musicians Against Homelessness campaign. It was a tough competition and we're certainly glad we didn't have to make the deciding vote.
Due to popular demand, 'Manchester's' Electro Funk Sonic Soul Collective The Winachi Tribe will be playing the Shorefields Main Stage at Lindisfarne Festival 2017. Mixing genres such as Electro Funk, Acid House, Rock, Hip Hop to make The Winachi sound, there's no doubt these guys will do a fantastic job at warming the stage up for our Friday night lineup and headliners The View.
Here's a taste of what to expect when they take to the stage on Friday 1st September...
Our unsigned band competition is just one of the many ways Lindisfarne Festival is supporting Musicians Against Homelessness in 2017. If you would like to get involved and help us support the #MAH2017 campaign and raise vital funds for Crisis, then get your festival tickets and come join us for a feel good weekend in September. Together, we will not only have an incredible time; we can also help make an incredible difference to some really great causes.
