SMOOVE

(from Smoove & Turrell)

Smoove started out as a DJ in the early '90s before becoming a producer and remixer, radio presenter and frontman for the funk band Rubberneck - releasing two solo albums on Acid Jazz in the mid-2000s. Shortly after came the uniting of Smoove & Turrell! With their 2007 debut single "I Can't Give You Up," a split release with Torpedo Boyz on German label Club Tikka, sold out almost instantly! The international reknown, award winning band with their songs showing the highs and the lows of life and the hard times realism of some of the lyrics is tempered by the irrepressible dancefloor euphoria of others.

Having graced the Lindisfarne Festival mainstage in both 2015 & 2017, Smoove knows what it takes to please a North East festival crowd and he thinks Foxtrap have what it takes too!

What happens next?

It's now time to hand over the finalists to our Friday headliners / competition judges Happy Mondays, who will check out all the acts & listen to their music before deciding who will win our mega prize package and a mainstage set at Lindisfarne Festival 2018!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE FINALISTS!

The winner will be announced on Monday 16th July.
